Wink 75 gallon tank cleaners

I got this list from marine depot live
25 - Cerith Snails
20 - Nassarius Snails
20 - Nerite Snails
18 - Mexican Turbo Snails
03 - Queen Conch
02 - Sand Sifting Starfish
01 - Serpent Sea Star
15 - Blue Leg Hermit Crab
25 - Mexican Red Leg Hermits
01 - Cleaner Shrimp
01 - Lawnmower Blenny
It retails for $252 without shipping
Few questions
TO much money?
Overdone on teh stocking list?
Underdone on teh stocking list?
I whant my reef tank to be clean of nasty algae.

I like the look of a clean aquarium.
I will have top notch filtering and skimming
Have at least 50 lbs of live rock.
I would like to do heavier lightin so I can keep my bubletip happy which makes my maroon happy....
I will more than likely stay away from metal halides because it casued so much algae for me in the past. So I havn't decided on lighting yet.
So what do you guys think? Will this do teh trick?

Dont order it. They're giving you a bunch of things that are not only unneeded, but things that are just going to die.

The queen conchs....a single one needs TONS of open sand...they get over a foot long. Are they ok for a while? I'm sure they are, but they're still gonna strip your sandbed of any life. But 3 of them? Seems ridiculous to me in only a 75g.

TWO SAND SIFTING STARS?? Thats even more crazy IMO...those things do the same things the conchs do....why would they sell you 5 things that are all really big, need much more space than a 75g (more for just sand...they need lots and lots of OPEN sand) and they all do the same thing?? To me just so they can make the money...because people will buy it.

I'd ditch the crabs and just get snails. Thats how my tanks are and they do better that way, because the hermits (who dont clean much as it is, compared to snails) just kill the snails for their shells, even if you've got extras in there.

The lawnmower blenny...Never had one, but a person in my local club was asking about them for hair alga...theres' a guy that has a business doing Aquarium cleaning stuff...he's got 3 people that he put the LMB's in and they dont seem to be helping at all.

IMO they way over did it on this list...mostly just so they can run up your cost like i said probably.

Then you're going to need more than 50 lbs of live rock in that 75 then. Try at least 75 pounds, preferably more.

The lights are not the problem. They only make it worse. Your problem would be nitrates/phosphates/etc... Nutrients in short...keep those down and your algae will stay down for the most part.

But my vote goes for t5 HO lights anyways...

I would personaly start with these two

25 - Cerith Snails
20 - Nassarius Snails

and if you have a bit of algae (hair algae) I would suggest a mexican turbo snail in there.
