new sump
i just added a new sump and fug to my 210 tank in the fug i just have algea floating around should i add a sand bed also or is the algea enough.
i dont wanna have to take the sand out later |

If you forgo the sand do place a few pieces of rubble rock.

If you decide on sand use a lot, 4 or 5 inches at the least to get any filtration benifits. I use mineral mud and mangroves- it has served my system well for years. The live rock rubble is a benificial alternative also, I have both.........TinMan
