I use Tropic Marin Pro Reef and Reef Crystals. I like them both. The Tropic Marin buffers better I feel.

I have used Oceanic for a long time, but have recently found that a 50/50 mix of Oceanic and IO gives almost perfect levels. HTH

Keep trying until you find the stuff that your animals look their best in.

from aquaticecosystems.com

their CMB2 Forty Fathoms/Crystal Sea Salt for Bioassay research. Around $60 shipped - will make 150 gals. Mixes well and dead on for chemistry.

I've used Oceanic and IO. Both have been good to me but my LFS uses IO in his reefs.

Most are all good as long as you adjust them. If this sounds funny at least test your next freshly made up batch for calcium, alkalinity and magnesium.

I like Red Sea Coral Pro. Been using it for 6 months now. I used to us Reef Crystals but am happier with the Coral Pro.

i noticed that you do not live to far from sea water. there are companies out there that run sea water through a micron filter and sell it at the LFS. i have been using this for a while now. it usually costs $1 a gallon but you can not beat mother nature. it is picked up 30 miles off the CA. coast.
