Knop s 4 vs. Geo 618
Looking at both of these calcium reactors. I know the Geo has a large following on RC and is reportedly easy to dial in. Looking for info on the Knop unit from anyone who has used it. Ease of use etc. Recommendations welcome.

I'd go for the Geo. Great product, and the consensus is that the customer service is excellent.
If a part winds up broke or missing on your knop, it could be weeks for you to get a replacement. Just something to consider. -E. |

This is true. Just hoping that there was someone out there using the Knop so I could get some feedback on its reliability / ease of use. I know the Geo is built like a truck and is a good reactor. I was intrigued however by the interior pump / design on the Knop. In the end I will most likely go with the Geo but want to make sured I am getting the best reactor for the buck. I only want to do this once if I can.

I have the GEO 618, very easy to install and maintain. Parts are easy to come by. I ordered a new O ring just to have an extra one and it was here in three days. I haven't had to touch my reactor in two months and my CA remains at 430 and ALK stays right at 10.6.

Pumps are better on GEO-customer service is better on GEO-servicing is easier on GEO-built is better on GEO-overall GEO products IMHO are much better quaility and easier to service, versus a pump that's cumbersome to service and move. |

How did you break it if you don't mind my asking? Just curious as I am looking at a GEO reactor myself.

Geo it is. Thank you for your input. Nice to hear from people who have both. Just made this much easier!
