Koralia's in 125 gal.
We are wanting to put new powerheads in our 6 foot 125 gallon tank. As of now we have softies and frogspawn in our tank. We will eventually go to SPS but it may be a while. Do you think that having a #4 on each end pointing to the middle of the front glass and two #3's in the middle of back glass pointing out to the front is too much? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Possibly pictures of yours would be great!
Thanks, greatplainskenn |

I don't think it is enough flow but I am keeping sps and need lots of flow. My K4 is pathetic at moving water in my 125. After a couple of feet it dies down a lot. Keep in mind the amount of rock and obstacles you have will cut down on flow.

GPkenn. I dont think you'll have too much flow. I have 2 Tunze 6000's and 2 Korilla 4's on a 90. I use the korillas in the back of my tank at the bottom (barebottom tank) to keep detritus from settling. I keep them pointed down toward the bottom of the tank so the water stream is dispersed and not blowing directly at any of my livestock. They work great.
With a 6' 125 and 4ea you should be fine. Just dont point them directly at any of the corals.... In a recent article I read on reefkeeping online, the author said good flow was only second to lighting in a matter of importance in a good reef set up. HTH
