If you own a 36" TEK t5 retrofit kit I need your help!

I am planning on installing a 36" 6 bulb TEK t5 kit in my tank and I need to know the exact length of the bulbs with the endcaps on to see if they will fit in my canopy. Thanks in advance for the help

I have the 2 tek t5 retrofit kit. the bulbs are 33.25 inches from the silver cap ends. the end caps are probably another inch or so on either end for a total of roughly 36 inches.

my question is this....how the hell do you wire them??

It took me awhile to figure out how to wire them, until I look at the ballast. The ballast has a diagram that is wire color coded. Just follow the diagram and you should be done in about 10-15 mins.

When I went back to re-measure my canopy the space I have is exactly 36 inches. IF you ont mind could you measure the length exactly with endcaps on? This is going to be a tight squeeze.

My icecap 39w t5 retro measures in at 35 1/8". I had to take some wood off my canopy to get them to fit.
