Mysterious tentacle creature?
Lately I have noticed some new creatures living in the substrate of my tank and they're also moving on to the rocks. It looks like little tentacles coming out of the sand and waving in the water. It looks like some of them have made little tubes from the substrate that the tentacles come out of. There are quite a few in there, if you look closely it looks like they're covering most of the bottom of the tank. I've attached a picture, sorry it's a little blurry. Does anyone know what these things might be and are they dangerous?

They are all over my tank - they are a type of snail and the tentacles are to catch food particles in the water. I have thousands of them. Nice to see the live in your reef like this. I also had an explosion of small featherdusters recently. The reef is alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I feed my tank, tons of them come out. They are actually on the annoying side. Paintbug you said crabs eat them? What kind of crabs?
