Peoples take on LifeReef overflow
I'm debating if I'm going to buy a lifereef overflow system to hang on my 40g long tank, or having someone build me a custom drilled overflow. The problem is my tank is already full and stocked. What are peoples takes on the lifereef system? It is good up to 700gph

If the tank is full and stocked and you don't want to take it down to drill it, a Lifereef or an Amiracle are your best options. Both are good HOB overflows, with the craftsmanship on the Lifereef being much better (and it flows more), but the price reflecting that. I have an Amiracle on my 40 and it works great for me, but I only am putting like 200 gph through it.

I've had a Lifereef overflow for several years now, and have never had problems. I also have an Americle, and it's functional. One thing I do like about the Lifereef is that the outlet of the overflow is bonded to the box; it's not a bulkhead w/ gaskets. You get no leaks or salt creep this way, while the Americle seems to suffer from salt creep no matter what I do to try and seal it.

I have a lifereef on my 46 gallon. It has been perfect for the year that its been on there. Great customer service as well. Recommended the pump to match up with my specific needs and followed up with me as well. I'm a happy customer and will recommend them to you. Quality has no substitution, a little more pricey but worth it.

Lifereef is more expensive but you get what you pay for. I have the dual overflow and it has worked flawlessly.

Lifereef is deffinitely worth the price, you have to pay a little more, but that is always the case when you want the BEST!!!

Lifereef is a great overflow. I have had CPR (not very good) and hurricane (good, but somewhat flimsy).
