Completely new to the Saltwater world...
Hi, my name is Meri and I've become a little addicted to watching my best friend create her own 3g jbj picotope kit. I've decided I wanted to do one but I'm at a little bit of a loss on what exactly I should start....
First things first.. I definitely need a tank and I'm stuck. Petsolutions is having a great sale on the nanocube. I can get a 12 gallon nanocube which will give me lots of playroom and living space. I could get a fish or two (small clowns or something). But... I kinda wanted something that could sit on my desk near my computer since I'm a writer and spend alot of time here... so I was thinking the 3g jpj picotope that she has... but then its' alot smaller... eek.. i just have no clue |

The smaller the tank the more maintenance you have to do. Since the volume of water is smaller the fluctuations are greater. If you go with a nano get the largest one you have space for. Perhaps a 24g.

Hi Meri
To Reef Central You might start off by reading The New Tank Thread. After learning the basics you can go to the Nano Reef forum for other ideas. Sorry we don't have a Pico Reef forum as there owners tend to be nearly invisible.
