I gotta get rid of these particles!

My tanks been running for six months now and the water just doesn't get any clearer. I have a filter sock on the overflow and a pretty decent skimmer. The water changes don't seem to even dent the problem. The water just doesn't get clear.

I'm looking for a cheap filter that I can just hang on the back of my tank and forget about it until my water's clear, and then I can throw away. Any suggestions? (Tanks size is 72 gal)

Magnum 350 will clean it up.
