Setting up 100g Reef System ?'s
Hello to all.
So here goes it. I just recently purchased a 100 gallon tank from a friend. I have finally decided on on a reef system, and want to utilize as much nature biological purification as possible. I will be starting the tank off with LR and LS until cycled. My question is... I'm thinking about starting of the tank with 1 marineland magnum filter. Will the LR,LS and above filtration be sufficient enough until a have a few more bucks to spend on a decent sump and skimmer? And if not, what sort of filtration system would you guys suggest? |

There not the best filter for your needs. They are more for polishing the water. The micron filter gets clogged up fast. Get two filters so while one is working the other has been cleaned and ready to go. This will work with lots of live rock and sand, also a good protein skimmer. A sump-refugium would be best.
