cleaning an inline chiller?

We run a 3/4hp chiller on a closed loop. It's been in operation for about a year. We have a reduced flow problem. I'm in the middle of cleaning the pump and the hoses and would like to know if there was a way to clean the insides of the chiller? Does anyone know how to flush it out? Thanks for the help.

Im thinking about turning the chiller on its side and running a garden hose through it. I know most refrigeration units shouldn't be turned on their side. Will this damage the compressor, of corse I won't run it this way.
