Remote Controllers

I bought some used equipment from someone that got the equipment from someone else. It was from someone that tore down their system a while ago and it has been sitting in boxes ever since. As I am digging through this stuff, trying to figure out what I want to use and how I am going to use it, I came across these control modules.

I have never seen these before and I am wondering if any of you are using them or have used them and if you can explain what application you use them for. They have more information about them HERE.

This is a complete guess, so take it for what it is worth.

Seems like it you would plug a chiller into it, and an X10 controller would send it a signal when to turn it on. At least that is the first idea that came to my mind.

But, I would guess that is you don't have a controller that uses X10 it wouldn't do much good.

NOTE -- my back went out yesterday and I am taking lots of pain killers and muscle relaxers so I could be WAY off.

Have used these X-10 controllers for many years and to control everything from lights on the tank to pumps on my pond waterfall. You'll need the base control unit or the remote handset and transceiver unit(s) to work them. They're really cool, but have problems with some light ballasts.

Good luck

Never mind, I am an idiot. I am the one that should be taking the drugs.

These controllers come with the Aquacontroller II. As you can see from the picture below.

I have several appliance modules and a light fixture module. I am using a Aquacontroller II to manage my tank systems. For now, I have just the PH, ORP and Temp probes in use. I am going to start controlling the fuge light and some other equipment in the near future. Obviously, I will need these in order to control my equipment with the Aquacontroller.
