Fish reference book
I'm looking to buy a good Saltwater fish reference book.
Its a toss up between these two. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Produc...&N=2004+113293 I know the "Marine Fishes" is like a Bible to many but "Reef Aquarium Fishes" is by the same author and is a later printing. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

I purchased "Natural Reef Aquariums (simplified approaches to creating living saltwater microcosms)" by John H. Tullock a few years back and have found it to be very helpful in my reef keeping. The book explains several different approaches to reef aquariums and will help you decide which style best suits you. It is not the newest book out but I have found the fundamentals are the same no matter current trends. It also has some very good pictures!

I have the "Reef Fishes" book. I figured that as I'm going reef, there was no use in getting the other book It's been very useful so far, and does give info on whether the fish will eat sessile inverts, mobile inverts, SPS and other corals separately, as well as general info on how well they do in tanks.
I'd say it's a good choice. I also have the "Marine Invertebrates book" but I have to say it hasn't been as useful.
