Q-Tank

I was wondering if I use the main water out of the main tank for my Q-Tank how soon can I put fish in the Q-Tank? I was going to set up the Q-Tank today and I would like to put some fish in it on Tuesday. Also, I was going to put some Cycle® Biological Aquarium Supplement in the Q-Tank to help it along. Does that stuff really work or speed the process up? The Q-Tank and the main tank are salt water.
The main tank is 240gals and has been set up for a 1yr and 1/2 with the originall 6 fish still in it. Its time to add some new fish but I want to do it the right way.

Thanks

the established water will work. How long are you going to QT for? How big are the fish? What kind of filtration are you using? This is going to establish how the bacteria will function at removing the ammonia.

29gal.......misc fish.........most fish will be around 3-4 inches. only going to put 3 to 4 in at time.. going to qt for about a month or a little bit longer........filtration is going to be a bio wheel.
