Water Turnover / Flow / Skimmer Size

To start off I am pretty new at this so please be kind. ƒº I am posting a separate thread for each question that I have come up with over the last couple of months. I have done a lot of searching and I haven¡¦t been able to find the answers I¡¦m looking for. Any advice would be appreciated.

Our setup is a 75 gallon / MH 2 X 250 14k 1 X 150 20K, 100 lbs LR, pair maroon clowns, condy anemone, lawnmower blenny, diamond watchman goby, 6 line wrasse, 2 cleaner shrimp, various snails & hermits.
------------------------

I¡¦ve read that the water turnover should be around 7 ¡V 10X the tank size and I would like to know if this is just water movement or water passing through the filter / skimmer?

I have a 75G tank and and I¡¦m using a ~600 GPH overflow. The return pump is a Mag 5 which is probably doing about ~300 GPH. The pump on my skimmer is a Rio 1700 and I have 2 MJ 1200s in the tank to provide flow. Should I change or add something to get to the right level?

Will the two MJ¡¦s provide enough movement for most corals or should I mod them to provide more current?

Should I upgrade the Mag 5 to a 9.5 or something that will closely match the 600GPH of the overflow?

How about the Pump on the skimmer?

I usually say 10-30x, depending on what animals are ketp. The pump on the skimmer typically doesn't count, since it's moving mostly air.

What corals do you want to keep?

I would leave the return pump as it is. There are cheaper ways of adding circulation, and some extra headroom on the overflow might be handy if some part of it gets clogged some day.
