back to the hobby after 4 year break

I'm getting back into the hobby after a long break from burnout

I'm going to switch my wifes FOLR that's been running sense we moved to GA back to a SPS/LPS reef, nothing too fancy, KISS, I think I'm going to pull the sandbed, are many people running rock only setups?

I'm in need of a couple pieces of hardware, looking for sugestions

for lighting I'll be using a 400w halide, mounted offcenter to the right of the tank, that side has more rock and will be home to the SPS, I'm in need of a good do everything bulb, I prefer blue, so something between 10-20k would work, sugestions on a good one?

I will need a skimmer, my HSA 1000 is too big, and the red sea berlin is not the greatest, even with a kent venturi, it's fed by a mag7, I would like to try a recirculation skimmer, it has to fit under the AGA 75g tank, cost is important, sugestions on skimmers?

for ca/alk maint, I have a complete co2 setup for my old giant reactor, but I grow tired of pump maint from the deposites, I'm thinking about getting a kalk stir setup for auto topoff, anyone done the switch? I've got a choice, 2 chamber ca reactor, or kalk stir setup, I'm not sure which way to go?
