maxing out: fish stock list ?
I know that the maximum number of fish per tank is highly dependent on the level of care and maintenance given to the tank as well as what equipment is used. However, there are general guidelines and plain common sense that are helpful guidelines. I'm asking for a bit of advice on my tank stock list. I currently have in my 92gallon corner tank (30gal sump with filter sock and protein skimmer, 130lbs. liverock)
2 maroon clowns, 2 blue-green chromis', 2 squareback anthias and a rusty angelfish. I would like to add a 6- or 12-line wrasse, a shrimp goby and a butterfly fish. Would these last fish be too much for this tank after all our other fish have grown to their max size? My head is thinking 10 fish is too many for a 92gallon tank. Thoughts? |

Assuming you have a decent skimmer, I dont think you're anwhere near maxed out.

Hey Kirkland... I work on Northup Way. People have said I have too many but I have 11 fish in a 54 corner. Your fish are small, as are mine... I don't think you are overstocking as long as you keep your levels low with good skimming and water changes.

I just replied under another thread of yours, Kannin! Thanks for the input. I got worried because the boyfriend went to Danny's Pet World by our house during their 30% off sale and came home with a clam and the 2 anthias, which are pretty large in comparison to our other fish. It started to make me worried about adding 3 more fish in our tank! Lol!
