Sand Q

Maybe a stupid question, but I cannot remember what is the "good" sand and what is the "bad" sand to use as substrate. I saw some very fine (like sugar) white silica sand (ashtray sand) and it looked like a good bottom material but I don't want to put anything in the tank that will be a problem. Sorry for the novice question.

either will work fine although Aragonite is preferred over the silica or quartz sands.

I second the Aragonite sand. If you like fine sand then try the CaribSea Oolitic.
