Corraline algae

My tanks has been running for about 6 months. I have a good bit of corraline algae on the rocks and glass. Recently, I have noticed a whitish, or white with a very light green tint growing on the rocks and glass. I will send a pic as soon as my wife gets back with some batteries. Does anyone know what this could be? Causes? Good/Bad?

Thanks,

It looks to me like your coralline is bleaching. What are your parameters, especially alk and calcium?

Pic looks normal to me.

Now if it all goes white you need to freak out but from my exp coraline algae does exactly what you are talking about.

both alk and calcium have been a bit low. Is bleaching bad?

Could the PCs being 6 months old have something to do with this?

I doubt its the bulbs being six months old. PC's usally last longer than that.
