Floor unlevel

I have a problem. I was filling up my new 65g for a leak test and discovered (with the help of a high quality level) the floor in the room I plan to put it in is not level. It's slanted in one direction. The reading on the level shows that it is off by only a little (I'd say about 1/4 inch... a few millimeters). But enough to see that the water in the tank is not level. Has anyone ever dealt with this problem? Is there a way to still be able to put the tank in this room? My husband is thinking about putting some sort of mat underneath half the stand, to even it out without creating any pressure points. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

Find wood wedges or shims and level the stand. What type of floor covering is under the stand? If you have carpet, you can cut a 1/4" thick peice to place under the one end - then a second at an 1/8" between the two.
The wedges are the route I would go, get the stand level and fill in the rest by jamming the wedge in then snapping it off on both sides of the stand.
However you decide to level it, you are saving the tank from integrity issues down the road. TinMan
