Diy Swirl

I was wondering if any body had a DIY verson? I was thinking of a plastic extension that was adjustable into the tank powered by a motor that could rotate 45, 90, or 180 degrees that could be attached to a seio or tunze. It would be an awesome way to get random flow and cut down on electricity usage without yanking a design.... Has anybody done anyting similar, "if not please build/yank my idea"...

I would think it would be much better than a wavemaker~
