Needlewheel pump
Need advice on needlewheel pumps.
I am looking for a relatively inexpensive needlewheel pump that is half way decent and can be run externally without leaking. Does this exist or do they all need to be run internally? Any suggestions? Thanks |

Gen-x and Sedra pumps will work as they can both be ran externally. Sedra pumps cost alot more that Gen-x pumps and both can be found at many of the RC sponcer's sites such as custom aquatics.

Thanks for the reply.
I just got an email back from one of the Sedra dealers. He suggested to only use them submerged. So the can definitely be used externally with no chance of leaking? Any info on the Aquamedic Ocean Runners with needlewheel impellars? I just noticed that they were for sale seperately but I cant figure out if they come with the air injection fitting or if they can work externally for sure. |
