Help!!! My Ca and Alk are way high!

I need some advice. I am new to reef keeping having only started my 49g reef back in March of this year. I started a few weeks ago using B-Ionics 2 part system and I followed their instructions. However, I just got a Salifert test for Calcium and Alkalinity and just did a test. If I did it right my Cal is over 500 and my Alk is over 16!!! My corals all look and have been doing fine. How should I proceed from here? Stop adding the B-Ionics from my top off water until the levels are lower or should I do something else? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Jason

Hm, IMO the first thing I would do it do a water change or two and try and bring the alkalinity and calcium back into somewhat more acceptable range. From there, I would imagine you may need to tweak how much calcium you add to your top off water. My .02

I would leave alone and stop adding anything except top off water. 16 DKH/alk is not going to kill anything. just keep testing every few days and see watch the levels come down.

Yea I was considering doing my normal water change just to go ahead and get it down some and just not add any more B-Ionics until I get it down where it needs to be. I was just concerned with it being what I thought was way up there.
