Best way to clean the Remora?
anyone know how to clean the Remora skimmers...I bought one used and think it needs to be cleaned because it isnt pulling as much anymore...also the O ring broke, anyone have a cheap fix or know where i can find another?

They sell replacement o rings at marinedepot.com. You could just use a few large rubberbands if you don't want to buy a replacement. Distilled white vinegar works well to clean skimmers. If it's really bad, you can use a 10:1 solution of water and muriatic acid. It will make your equipment look brand new. They sell it at home depot/Lowes for cleaning toilets. It's safe for plastic, but you'll want to use gloves.

Cleaning Ramora
Go to Aqua C's web site. You can download the instructions for this skimmer in the form of a pdf. You need a small brush to clean this skimmer. I'm sure you can buy one directly from them. In an email they sent to me about the oring issue, they said they would send me one whenever mine wore out.
