EvilE,
as far as I'm aware, all distilled water is made with a "steam" process the only thing it has pop on that I remember is that in some locations, they use cooper pipes, which could play an issue if high enough concentration, that would be my only concern, hope others can comment with more accurate info, anyway good luck, sam

I have used distilled water from the very first time I filled my tank until now. It has been over 1 1/2 years and I have had no problems. The only pain is having to carry the gallon jugs of distilled water after you buy them.

I started my 210 using distilled. Never had any problems. I just don't see why not get an RO or RODI Unit though. My RODI unit paid for itself easily.

Distilled water is actually more pure than Reverse Osmosis water. Only thing its lacking is the high oxygen content of RO. Smaller water changes/top offs should be no problem. But you want to aerate the crap out of your Distilled Water if you plan on doing a significant water change.

Distilled water is great. I started using it 8 months ago. Never switch back.
