DIY Venturi Skimmer, very few bubbles- need suggestions
I threw together a little DIY skimmer today. I wanted to model it roughly after the Euroreef RS80. Altogether it cost me $14 so i'm not surprise it's not working well... yet.
I tried to rig up my own venturi with some stuff i found in the basement. The inline venturi is a lot quieter than the pre-pump venturi, but it doesn't work as well. I'm using an unmodified magdrive 7 pump because it was given to me for free. What suggestions can you guys give to improve the skimmer? I haven't glue anything, so it's all fully adjustable. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...ototype002.jpg Thanks !
