Ricordea splitting?

The other day I thought my ridordea was dying.. Now I think it might be splitting.. Is this possible? The other day it went totally black in the middle but the rim stayed blue/green.. Now it looks like it's splitting into three or four pieces.. Or is this just the way it dies? Sorry for the crappy pictures.. My battery decided to die on me.. I'll take better ones later when it's recharged..

What does the mouth look like on it? Is it open?

Any chance it was in 'rest mode'? At night some of mine kind of 'envelop' themselves to the point where their 'undersides' (which are kind of dark-gray) are on the outside and the blue/green portion is kind of tucked in and practically out of sight.

Yeah, keep a close eye but it doesn't sound like its splitting.

The middle/mouth is the most important part.

I've also found that when they were stressed, they seem to split more. At least, mine have.

Keep watching it and keep your params in check.
