I forgot about that. I've had Ilyanassa Snails shipped to me dry. I don't remember how long it took, but all were alive.

I have transported SPS corals for several hours wrapped only in a wet paper towel and they were fine. I would bet that they would be fine overnight shipping but dont have any direct experience.

Sure would beat a wet soggy box arriving overnight with foul smelling corals inside the package.

IT seems snails are the only ones wholesalers have picked up on dry shipping.

I got some sandbed cleaner clams shipped dry - and it was the only way they could be shipped. A guy on Ebay tried sending some wet that died; when he sent them dry, they were fine.

They were overnight from somewhere NE (forget exactly) to KY.

Not common here but in SE Asia the tranship fish dry often packed in seaweed. Losses are supposed to be as low or lower and they don't suffer the shipping weight of the water.

I wrapped 15 sps frags in wet newspaper for about 5-6 hours, over half of them died the others lost all their color.

I did a bunch of ricordea rocks the same way for much longer maybe 8 hours or so and they all did great no dead ones and no loss of color.
