Need a puffer expert

What type of corals can you put in a tank with a puffer. I put a nice mushroom rock in the tank 2 days ago. When I was doing my water change I noticed the puffer taking in some mushrooms. He was attacking the rock trying to get them.

what kind of Puffer?
I've seen Puffers eat resin (artificial) corals. I'll bet that living corals taste much better than plastic ones.

Hmmm...I don't think any corals are safe with puffers. I keep mine in a FOWLR tank and my puffer even eats the live rock!

Puffers eat nearly anything in a tank, including just about any coral.

It all depends on the individual puffer. Sounds like your puffer would not be compatible though, from your description. What species is it?

It is a dog face. There has been a Kenya tree in the tank now for at least 3 weeks he has not bothered with. I added the mushroom rock a week ago and it is almost picked clean. I was more worried about the Asfur angel eating things then the puffer........I guess I was wrong.

I also thought puffers only bother SPS (hard corals) to file down their teeth. I guess I was wrong there also.....
