Refugium Design

I have a 4'x2' pond being used as a refuguim. It is being fed by 2 drains from my sump. I am stuck with how to partition it off.

This is what I have come up with so far but I feel that I am wasting space and I'd like to be able to incorporate a DSB somehow. I was hoping to use eggcrate to separate everything. I know I'm missing some important stuff that I could be adding but I don't know what they are.

Any ideas or new suggestions would be great.

I think a section for a skimmer would be good.

Skimmers go in the Sump, not a fuge.

Put your fuge on one end and your skimmer section with a frag rack on the other end.Or put your fuge on the right side and move your drains to the middle. You will be able to keep your frag rack amd your skimmer in the same section either way.You can cut into one of your drains and pipe a smaller line to your fuge with a ball valve on each so you can control how much flow is in your fuge. You might want to put some baffels between the skimmer section and the return section and a divider between your fuge with slits in the top to help keep your nacros in.You can have your dsb in the fuge. You also might want to make some bubble towers to fill with LR rubble.Melevs sight has alot of good sump designs. http://www.melevsreef.com/allmysumps.html
Check it out.

The skimmer, heaters, phosban reactor, some LR and anything else I can think of will be going into the sump (4x2 as well). I am hoping all of this plus making its way through the ref will cut down on the bubbles produced by the skimmer.

I guess I could move the frag rack into the sump as well but then I am stuck with waaaaay too much free space. What to do with all this extra space in the sump and ref?

What is the concept of a DSB in a bucket?
