How high should my fuge light be away from the water?
Currently my fuge light is around 1-2 inches from the surface of my fuge...is this too close?
Its been around a week and there is quite a bit of salt buildup on the bulb...is this normal? Should I just get in the habit of cleaning it regularly? |

that should be fine. Some people make it higher. Since it is a fuge and you are growing just macro, the light does not need to be that close to the water. Macro does not require as much light as corals do.
In terms of salt creep, just get in the habit of cleaning it. Carlos

Mine is 2 in from the water but I don't have any salt buildup. You must have strong water movement breaking the service close to the bulb??
