Please, people, when you recommend a fix/fish/item for some newbie's tank...

...take a look in the sig line and check out his tank size. [And, people, please PUT your tank size in your sig line: [MY RC, edit profile.] Your experience level, your tank size, age of tank, your equipment [esp. whether you have a sump], lighting type [mh/T5/PC], and fish/coral type is all VERY useful if you're asking help.

I see things like "I have algae," and somebody chimes in "Get a tang," and the guy has a 3g nano. OOps. Or "I have red slime," and somebody says "use Chemiclean." Ooops again, if the tank is new, or very small. Perhaps fatal oops.

The answers usually err toward 'inappropriate for a small tank,' mostly, I suspect, because a big tank can handle almost anything. But do fill out/look at that sig line.

Yes very useful... not only for giving advice, but from my perspective as a relatively new beginner, its also nice to know a little about who's giving you the advice.
