coralife skimmer does it work?

i just a used 220 i belive. anyways how long does it take to began to work. I put it in my sump" all the way on the bottom, dont know if that is correct" and started her up, i see bubbles being produced but nothing makes it anywhere near the top of the trap.

if any one knows how to adjust please let me know. thank you.

should have a red valve on it somewhere that you screw/unscrew to adjust the water level. You adjust the water until you see the bubbles frothing at the base of the neck to the collection cup. If it does that for awhile and you see nothing working it's way up to the cup, adjust a little more, wait 20 minutes or so, adjust again if need be. There website should have some instruction for setting up or something similar.

I have a 65g model, and not completely happy with it, it's easier to adjust than the Seaclone I had, but it doesn't skim as much for me.

If your tank is new and I think it is there is probably little to no waste to skim. I was confused with mine at the start but once I added some fish and started feeding the skimming began.

They are an ok skimmer for the price. I am pretty happy with mine.

It'll also take a bit of practice to get the hang of "dialing in a foam". But once youknow what to look for, it'll be that much easier each and every time after that.
