alge

how do i get rid of the alge o my sand it is red and stringy i dont feed my tank to much because i only have one perc in it

What are your water parameters?
How much do you feed your one perc?

one quarter cube of brine plus here are my perams ammo 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 0 1.023 for solin

thaw/decant the frozen brine cube. Those juices are full of nutrients that fuel algae growth.

make sure your makeup water has a TDS of 0. they only way to know this is to test the water with a tds meter.

Yeah... I had the same thing which is probably cyano bacteria. I was adding phosphates by thawing my frozen food in a shotglass of tank water and then dumping the whole mix in the tank. By draining off the melt... I reduced the phosphates.
