rock
what kind of preperation needs to be done to rock thats been sitting around out of a tank for a while, to be able to put back into a tank

Is there anything else in the tank? How has the rock been stored?

no it will be a new tank. its just been laying around in a empty bucket for a few weeks. it still smells good, but its got some green funk on some of it. thanks for your help

if it's dead, wash it. make sure it is dry and then put it in the tank.

what if its not dead? do i let it die and completely dry out. then powerwash it maybe?

So are you saying it has been kept in saltwater while it has been out of the tank?
