Relax on the bump man. You gave it 13 mins at 2:33am eastern time, so most of the people that read this in this time zone and the others are asleep.

Give it a few hours or a day and then bump.

That all depends on the color you are looking to acheive.

Are you looking to go bluish?
Are you looking for 10K and will supplement?
Are you supplementing at all?

Couple things to note first.

I like the look of XM 10k's. Some supplement actinic because they fell the XM's are too yellow but I don't think so. It also depends on what ballast is firing them. A higher Kelvin bulb like a 14K will be more blue and make your corals flouresce. I hate blue tanks so I stay farther down in the spectrum.

without running the atinics I personaly would go with the 14k bulb, it brings out more colors in the corals IMO

I run the 10K with actinic, it gives you growth and aesthetics.

I say yes to that too. I've been running Pheonix 14k, and the tank looks great, I will definently keep using them. It's not an overpowering blue like 20k tanks. I agree with the statement that it depends on the ballast that's firing them. Look around the lighting forum, there have been some comparisons of bulbs with different ballasts firing them. Mine's a Blue Wave pulse start, not sure on the exact model. I'll try to get pics, which turn out a little "bluer" in photos than to the eye.

I vote for 14K, especially if you aren't planning on supplementing with actinics.
