Thanks to Doug (Deltec), Geo, and MACNA!

MACNA was great. It was my first MACNA and I didn't get to see quite as much of the educational program as I had hoped but still had a great time seeing lots of new products and meeting some people. PMSAI was a wonderful host and had everything very well organized. A great group of very friendly people.

We were lucky enough to win a custom tote bag from Boyd and a 50 lb box of Fiji MarcoRocks. Thanks to everyone who donated to the raffle!

Along with the MarcoRocks, right now sitting in the back of my car & trunk awaiting their trip home are...

Deltec AP1006. Thanks Doug for being so helpful and informative about the breakdown, setup, and operation of this "deluxe" skimmer. I can't wait to get it up and running but it will be a while until it has something to clean unfortunatley If ongoing support is anywhere near as good as the support he gave me at the show I can't ever imagine having any ongoing problems with a Deltec product.

Geo "??? Calcium Reactor". Geo has to be one of the friendliest guys I have met in this hobby. You will very quickly realize he isn't in this business to make money but to contribute to it. His products are rock solid and the reactor is a monster. I'm not 100% sure of the dimensions or if there is a model number but I will post some details once I'm back home for sure. It appears to be very easy to use and very well built.

I'll be sure to post some pics once I'm back home.

I hope to meet even more people in Atlanta next year.

Thanks Kreeger.

It is going to be a 1200 gallon or so display. I'm going to detail it here http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...readid=1196471 as I go but it is going to be a slow build

Pics of the GEO ???? Reactor. The first piece of equipment to officially to make it into the (no where near complete) fish room.

Geo, is there an official name for this monster?

It is sitting on a table which is not the final table nor the reactors final location. Where its sitting it would actually be in the tank.

Mountain Dew can for scale...

Thanks for sharing the pics, John! I didn't know GEO made reactors that big but apparently so! I agree with you on both counts. Doug and George are very nice and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate buying anything from either of them again.

BTW, if you're showing pics of the GEO, you also have to show pics of the AP1006! Now put a Mt. Dew can next to it.

Thanks Slovan. Back and forth between the computer and the basement putting the AP1006 back together

I believe this is a one off or the first of a new model GEO reactor. Its certainly not one of the sizes listed on the site

So.....how large is this system you're acquiring this equipment for?

I'm intrigued.

The Deltec AP1006.

Thanks again Doug for all the help and hands on instruction. Getting this thing back together was easier than I imagined it would be.

Wow! That thing is a monster! I've see a 1003 & 1004 before but never a 1006. Congrats on both pieces as I'm sure they'll handle your new tank just fine. I've been following it over in the large tank forum as well. Everything is top notch.

Thanks everyone The display will be around 1200 gallons. There is a link to the build thread in the 3rd post down if you want to tag along.

The official name for the calcium reactor is a Geo CR1218.
