How Long Will Fish Hide
OK, I put a couple new fish into my main tank on Sunday and it's Wednesday evening and I haven't seen one of them since. The tank has been up a running for over a year, it's a 120g reef with at least 150# of live rock. Inhabitants include a couple clowns, bangaii cardinal, gramma, midas blenny, blue tang, usual snails and crabs. So I had a flame angel and a coral beauty angel in QT together for over a month, both very healthy, eating fine, getting along, no problems, so in the main tank they went. They both headed for hiding in the rocks. The flame came out the next day and is now swimming around and doing great but I have yet to see the coral beauty. Is it common for him/her to stay hidden this long. I checked to see if there was an ammonia spike (thinking maybe he/she's dead) but nothing unusual. Could he/she still be alive and hiding or do you think he/she's a goner.

It's not uncommon for a coral beauty to hide for several days, as they like the security of the rockwork.
