Mini sump.

How does this thing compare to a regular sump?

What's you definition of "regular sump"? A sump is really just a seperate area for you to put equipment in while increasing water volume.

I think those things are extremely overpriced for what they are. They also don't give you any options as far as what equipment goes.

So in your oppinion a "regluar" sump is the way to go?

I'd just turn a 10 or 20 gallon glass tank into a sump. It's not difficult and you can customize it - such as adding a refugium, etc.

Could you describe how i can maka a goo d sump out of 30-50 gal tank?
