Anyone have luck with ocellaris clowns hosting in a rose anemone?
I have two false perculas and was interested in getting a rose anemone since they appear to be one of the hardier anemones to keep. Thanks

I have two that are just now beginning to hang out in my RBTA. They've been in my 125 for about 6 months, and one day I walked by the tank and saw the male sitting in the anenome. Now they hang out there all the time, but still sleep somewhere else. Slowly but surely they seem to be gravitating to it.

I have two RBTA's in my tank and my ocellaris have never gone in them from what I've seen. This is over almost 2 years now. They have hovered over them before, and looked at them like they were interested, but haven't gone in.

My black and white ocellaris stuck her face in a rose bubble once. But that was it. Got 4 (fixin' to be 6) of them in my 75g and the clowns ignore them completely. But in their defense, they won't host in anything but a hole in the dirt.

Both of my black ocellaris clowns live in my rbta as well. So my rbta hosts my clowns!

I know this may sound odd, but someone in the clown forum suggested it and mine hosted in it 4 days later ---- I taped a picture of 2 black ocellaris hosting in a RBTA to the glass of the aquarium. At first they thought it was someone invading their turf but a couple of days later I found them hosting. This was after about 5 weeks of not hosting in it. It could be pure coincidence, but it can't hurt! =) |

I have two ocellaris and they hosted my carpet anemone in 10 minutes after I put it in... They love it.
