check your airline and venturi and make sure it isn't clogged

I poured some ro/di water down the airline 2 days ago, what is the venturi?

The venturi is where the pump draws air from the airline.

You will need to take the pump out and inspect the venturi (inside the tube on the skimmer body that the pump connects to) and make sure all the holes aree not blocked. Wouldn't hurt to disconnect the airline and inspect that too.

While I have the ocean runner out, I figured I might as well put in the smaller needlewheel
how the hell do I get the original wheel off
I snapped one in half already, glad I have a second one

Very carefully... I know it sounds cliche but that's what it takes really.

I used an exacto knife or something sharp to break the needlewheel discs loose and and flat head screw driver to pry them apart. Being very careful not to break any of course

Why do you want a smaller needlewheel on there?

HUH?

you lost me on the "stock needlewheel" part. Are you sure it's not a paddle wheel?

Mine came with the needlewheel. This is the needlewheel here

I had a multi 1000 and the flap that is in the volute discharge would get stuck every so often. Need to take the volute cover off and clean real good, make sure the flap is working smoothly.
