I have heard horror stories about the 175 bowfronts and I know people who never had an issue. The debate is because of how your transfering the weight of the water to the glass pains and how much additional force you are placing on the joint in a bowfront. Oceanic is a reputable builder and I have never had a problem with my oceanic tank.

They tend to leak/break. Oceanic was bought out by AGA if i'm mistaken sorry for the wrong info i have provided. From what I understand since the buy out the quality has went down a bit. This is not from any personal experience but just though "hear say" that I have came across in forums. They still look like great tanks.

I have no experience with bow fronts other than a friend of mine whose top brace broke. He also complained that it was hard to take pictures and hard to clean with square magnets.
