cleaning crews versus nitrate
I was wondering if cleaning crews are sensitive to high nitrates and what is the max. reading that they can handle?

I haven't seen any evidence that any level of nitrate seen in our tanks is harmful to the animals I see in cleanup crews. Certainly, 50-100 ppm seems fine, in my experience.

What about life span of these cleaning crews seems like astria snails don't live long for me also others do well like turbo, trochus, nasarrius, and cerith? Nitrate is at 20 ppm

Some snails are known to live for decades, and others have unknown lifespans.
Astraea snails often die due to starvation or by falling on sand. I think starvation is a major issue for snail longevity in our tanks, particularly given the very large crews often recommended. Well, there's also predation by hermit snails.
