Is this an in sump skimmer or hang on the back? Can you post a full image of the unit? Is the unit not skimming?

stick it in salt water.... you will get your bubbles.. as for the leak.. maybe rubber washer not seated right??? take it out and put it back in and tighten ir hand tight... it's only plactic so dont snap it... if worst to worst.. a small line of super glue???

I would try going over it with teflon tape or something to seal it. It won't create any decent bubbles in freshwater leak or no leak.

check out the thread on that skimmer in lighting and filtration. There are a few simple modifications that can greatly improve efficiency

mean leaks a little as well in the same spot, as for no bubbles, thats due to using freshwater, it doesnt bubble like SW

I have the same skimmer myself and I noticed that they gave an extra washer as I was about to put it on and noticed that there was already one in there. Make sure you didnt double up on washers. I personally would just take it apart check to see that the washer is flat against the plastic, make sure you did not cross-thread it on and make sure you get it nice and tight but not to tight and you should not have a problem. Feel free to send me a message if you have any further problems. I can also tell you about a nice little mod that will help with the skimmer. I have mine on a 125 gallon tank with a 100 gallon sump, feed my fish twice a day flake and frozen and my nitrates are ZERO.
