Euro Reef Skimmer

I just dosed interceptor a few days ago and then did a water change. My skimmer wouldn't run properly on the original settings, the bubbles in the neck part wouldn't come up much at all. I have been messing around with it for a long time, it's either bubbles in the tank won't go up to skim or I get water, and that's with air valve and the riser tube all closed.

Only thing I did differently was clean the neck of the skimmer cup out. Instead of green, it's clear now Would that affect it?
