Reverse Osmosis question. In the display.
I just got the great idea of just throwing an RO unit, 2 stage, 50 gal a day onto my 400 gal. by just attaching it directly to a pump, maybe a powerhead, and just letting it go. of course i'll have a waste water container. but would this work? whats the effect if any?

I dont really understand what you are doing here. Are you putting your tank water through the RO? It is going to try to remove all the salts and everything else dissolved in the water, but there is going to be too much and it will just ruin the membrane.

lol, i thought about this at one point, but the lobster is correct, it would ruin your rodi internals in short order.

Use it to make clean water for topoff and waterchanges by hooking it up to a faucet. If you already have another RODI, sell it.
