Question Ph Probe

I just got what I think is an American Pinpoint Marine probe with my ReefKeeper 2 controller. The little rubber boot at the bottom of this needs to come off while in use right? It's just part of the packaging for shipment no?

-Just checking Thanks,
Andy

Yes, the little rubber boot is just to keep the probe from drying out. It should be removed before installing the probe.
