My New Aussie Elegance Coral!!!

I picked up this beauty today at the CORA Frag Swap in Columbus Ohio. She is HUGE almost 12" across and 8" in depth! I have attached some pictures so every one can check her out. Let me know if she looks happy to you. Flow is very low, just enough to allow the tenicals to slowly wave back in forth. It is in the dead center of my tank under dual 400 Watt 20K halides...

Looks happy to me. That doesn't mean much though. One little bump on the tissue and it can be bye bye coral. Good luck to you with it!

Yeah i definetly took it's placement in consideration when I put it in the tank. It has quite a bit of expanding room as you can see in the pics. It would take a freakish rock slide for a rock to fall on her. I don't see that happening though due to the way the aquascaping is and some of the rocks are expoxied together.

I wouldn't even sweat it. That coral is fine, especially for just being in the tank for a matter of hours. The only potential problems I see is feeding it in the bottom of a tank that big, unless you have some real long arms, and the clown could cause issues. The clown may never even look at the coral in a tank that big though, and you could get your avatar to help you feed it . That's a nice Elegance and it's going to do just fine in your tank. I want to see pic's in about a month after it has been feed a few times. Sweet score.

Current Tank Info: I'm trying to see how many tanks will fit in my house before the wife loses it.

Yeah she is a beauty. It does not matter what way you turn her she looks awesome from every angle. I do have long arms but I have to stand on a small step stool/ladder to reach the bottom. The clowns has GBTA's to play in. Not to mention they have not even came close to the elegance so I am not sweating that part. I am going to feed her tonight some mysis along with some cyclopeeze than work up from there.

How do you differentiate between an Australian elegance and one from Indo? Dealer reputation? Just wondering because I haven't seen an Aussie Elegance for sale of that size. They are usually around 3-5 inches.
