i have this wierd looking thing in my tank it is realy stringy it moves like a string in the wind. it is about as skinny as this -> l
so it is realy hard to take a pic of it.

it looks like this in a way

this end is attached to rock ------l--l--l--l--l--l--l--l--l

i noticed one about a few weeks ago and now i got about 7-8 of them. im kinda concerned but have no clue to what they are.

I have them too. Too small to take a pic, they are the width of a hair maybe, and all white.

worms. are they ON the rock or IN the rock coming out?

Totally sounds like worms to me. I think they breed very quickly, so you'll want to take care of it as soon as you can.

Those would be digitate hydriods. IMO they come and go. Ive seen them pop up in my tank every so often. They usually die off though.
